Neighborhoods, Private Driveway Service

Host Liehs and Steigerwald On Wheels and invite your friends and neighbors. It is FREE to host our food truck, but a private driveway and minimum order is required. Event is pay-as-you-go, and host is not responsible for payment. Driveway service is available Tuesday-Saturday from 5pm-7pm or 6pm-8pm from April to October. A minimum of $1000 in prepaid orders on StreetFoodFinder and/or pre-ordered butcher shop goods must be submitted at least 12 hours prior to service time. If the $1000 minimum is not met 12 hours prior, the event will be canceled. We will communicate with the host at least 12 hours prior to the event to confirm preorder status.

Liehs & Steigerwald On Wheels Rental FAQs

What are your days of operation?
Liehs and Steigerwald On Wheels is available for rental Tuesday through Sunday from April through October.
Is there a minimum charge for a food truck event?
Yes. An invoice total of $1,500 in food/beverage purchase or more is required (excludes taxes and setup fee). If food and beverage costs do not total the required minimum, the $1,500 will be charged.
Is a deposit required to book an event and when is final payment due?
A $500 non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking to hold the date. Full payment is due 3 days prior to your event.
Is there a set-up fee?
A $250 site setup fee will be charged for all food truck private hosted events.
Is there a travel fee?
Travel within 15 miles from our Grant Boulevard location is included. For events that are further away, we may charge a travel/mileage fee to cover labor, utilities, and fuel.
What is your cancellation policy? Is my deposit refundable?
Your $500 deposit is non-refundable. Additionally, if you cancel within 48 hours of your event, Liehs and Steigerwald will retain the full invoice payment.
What if it rains?
Liehs and Steigerwald On Wheels is able to operate rain or shine. If needed, we will bring a tent or park close to cover.
When do I need to provide a final guest count?
A final guest count must be provided at least 10 days prior to the event date.
How far in advance should I book my event?
We book events on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to book your event as early as possible. In most cases, we ask that you book at least 2 weeks prior to your event so we can properly schedule staff to provide you the best service. Contact us today so we can book your date.
How long can I book Liehs & Steigerwald on Wheels for?
A 2-hour service window is included for service up to 150 people. Additional time will be allocated for larger guest counts. You may also purchase additional service time for an added cost. We arrive no later than 30 minutes before the start of your event to set up and will remain on site at least 30 minutes after service to clean up. Additional fees will be charged if you require the food truck to arrive prior to our standard arrival time or remain on site after our standard departure window.
Do I need to provide a permit for Liehs & Steigerwald on Wheels to cater my event?
Some cities and counties may require a permit for food trucks. Generally, permits are not required for events held on residential property. If your event is taking place in a city that requires a permit and we do not already have one on file, the cost of the permit will be added as an additional charge. Please check your city for its requirements.
What about parking?
Client must verify in advance that we are allowed to park at the event location site and designate a guaranteed parking location. If we arrive at the event site and, for any reason, Liehs & Steigerwald On Wheels is unable to park at the event, all payment for the event, in full, will be retained by Liehs & Steigerwald.

Does Liehs and Steigerwald On Wheels provide utensils, condiments, serving containers, and trashcans?
Yes! We will provide everything needed to enjoy our food and dispose of trash appropriately.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, credit cards, and personal checks (made payable to Liehs & Steigerwald). There is a $50 fee for any returned/bounced checks. Please note, a 3.5% surcharge will be applied for all credit card payments.
Is sales tax included?
No. 8% sales tax will be charged.
Is gratuity included?
We do not charge a set amount for gratuity. Our team does appreciate tips and people often choose to tip when they feel we provide excellent service. Gratuity is entirely up to your discretion and can be added on to your final credit card charge or you can offer cash to our staff on site.
